Danny Ellis is currently the founder of Side Quest Strategies, a Michigan-based consulting firm focused on executive coaching, board and advisory roles, and AI implementation for growth-stage companies. He previously co-founded SkySpecs and served as its CEO for 13 years, scaling the robotic wind energy asset management company to more than $40m in annual revenue. Danny currently serves as the Chairman at AssetCool (UK), Chairman at Above Surveying (UK), Chairman at Hextronics (Miami, FL), and Board Member at Spoor (Norway). His client work spans wind, solar, storage, and energy transmission along with robotics and industrial automation. Danny holds a BSE and MSE in Aerospace Engineering from the University of Michigan. He is also the recipient of the 2023 Michigan Entrepreneur of the Year award and has been on the Forbes 30 under 30 list. He lives in Ann Arbor with his wife and three daughters.
