Eric B. Larson
Chief Executive Officer, Downtown Detroit Partnership
Eric B. Larson is an accomplished civic and business leader with over four decades of experience in large-scale real estate development, infrastructure investment, strategic placemaking, and urban revitalization. In 2014, Larson assumed the role of CEO of the Downtown Detroit Partnership. Today, DDP represents one of Detroit’s most sophisticated and scalable civic platforms, combining place management, safety, mobility, data analytics, small business support, and large-scale event execution. A member-based nonprofit organization, the DDP is dedicated to creating a thriving, safe, inclusive, and welcoming Downtown Detroit.
Larson is also the founder, president, and chief executive officer of Larson Realty Group, a privately owned, Bloomfield Hills, Michigan-based company engaged in real estate investment, development, asset management, and leasing.
Since 2016, Larson has been providing consultation to the State of Michigan’s Department of Technology, Management, and Budget on best practices for the utilization of the state’s real estate portfolio to provide the highest opportunity and most efficient use for both the private and public sectors.
Larson founded and currently serves on the board of the Community Investment Support Fund (CISF), a 501(c) (3) organization that promotes economic development and the creation of wealth and job opportunities in low-income communities. He serves as chairman of the Robert C. Larson Center for Leadership and Urban Land Institute (ULI) Detroit Governance Committee, board member for ULI’s Leadership Council, and past chairman of ULI Michigan. Other board responsibilities include the Cullen Family Foundation, Detroit Economic Growth Association/Detroit Economic Growth Corporation, Detroit 300 Conservancy, Detroit Grand Prix, Detroit Riverfront Conservancy, Detroit Zoological Society, The Parade Company, Pope Francis Center, and Resilience Investments.
