Scott Fox is a serial startup founder turned angel investor and global startup ecosystem community builder. He's also an author and popular speaker on Silicon Valley-style fundraising, innovation, and growing startup ecosystems worldwide.

Scott has spent 30+ years building companies, investing in dozens of startups and funds, and writing 3 best-selling books about entrepreneurship. That work led him to found StartupCouncil.org, a community service supporting 80,000+ entrepreneurs worldwide by connecting them to resources, capital, professional services, education, and each other. DetroitStartupCouncil.org is the network's latest expansion, dedicated to helping support and accelerate entrepreneurs in Detroit and across Michigan.

Based in Orange County, California, he's a graduate of Detroit's Cass Technical High School, the University of Michigan, and Stanford Law School. He's a consultant to global innovation ecosystems, a mentor at Stanford's StartX and other accelerators, and a startup influencer on YouTube. He also serves as an Innovation Ambassador and keynote speaker for groups like the Global Entrepreneurship Network, Red Bull, and the US State Department.
