Black Tech Saturdays, Detroit’s leading community-driven tech and entrepreneurship movement, is partnering with the University of Michigan Center for Innovation in Detroit and Michigan Central to launch Bridge to Success, a first-of-its-kind microcredential partnership designed to close the $8.5 trillion skills gap threatening America’s workforce.

Each certification will require a 9-hour commitment for instruction, plus some independent work between sessions. The program combines the community and tech expertise of BTS with UMCI’s academic rigor, providing certification badges.

• AI Fluency: Participants will learn how AI works, how to use it to make money and in their own lives, and how to think critically about it. No prior technical background required.
